1898.
I have the honour to forward for your ap-
proval the enclosed paper of particulars relating to the service of Mr. Yip Ling Mui, Clerk and Interpreter at the
Victoria Gaol, and to recommend with the concurrence of the
Members of Executive Council, that a commuted pension of
$3,510 be granted to him.
From the annexed copy of a Medical Certifi- cate, you will observe that this. Officer is unfit for fur-
ther service, and having regard to his long services I trust
no objection will be raised to the commutation of his pen-
sion.
